Eastleigh 10k

Sunday 23rd March 2025

Eastleigh 10k 2025 – the home of the PB

The first race took place on 17 March 1985 at 2:30pm with around 800 runners and 41 years later (we lost a year for covid) with your fantastic support we are still going strong! We look forward to again welcoming around 2900 runners from across the country and abroad to Eastleigh.

Organised with Eastleigh Running Club, it’s a great event for runners of all ages and abilities and I’m sure many of you, after a good winter/spring’s training, will be hunting a fast time or PB on our fast, flat PB course.

The race is 82 days from New Year’s Day so is also an ideal New Year challenge for all runners – an event we can all look forward to next spring!

Medals and T-shirts

This year there will be a commemorative 40th anniversary medal included in the entry fee for all finishers.

Increasingly, many runners have asked for an option to take part in the race but not to receive a t-shirt for cost and sustainability reasons.

So this year, we have provided an option to take part without receiving a t-shirt.

Runners who would like to receive a 40th anniversary high tech t-shirt memento can add a t-shirt to their basket for just £4 when they enter. T-shirt sizes XS, Small, Medium, Large, XL and XXL sizes will be available. This will need to be ordered by the end of February.

The Dave Blackman Achievement Awards

The Dave Blackman Achievement awards are back – anyone could win one!!

All runners who took part in the 2024 race will have the chance of winning race prizes as part of our Dave Blackman achievements awards. We know just how hard all runners of all abilities train for the Eastleigh 10k and we are keen to recognise all your efforts. So in addition to our usual age category prizes we will also be providing prizes for the runners who make the biggest percentage improvement on their 2024 chip time. So there is a great incentive to have a great run, make a big improvement and get recognised for your efforts at any level of running!!

The Eastleigh 10K and fun run event is proud to support Wessex Heartbeat, a charity dedicated to improving cardiac care across the region, as well as the Mayor of Eastleigh’s appeal, which raises vital funds for local community projects and initiatives. By participating in this event, runners are not only challenging themselves but also making a meaningful contribution to these incredible causes, helping to make a difference in the lives of many.
